Locating the .htaccess File

  1. Log in to your Plesk control panel.

  2. Navigate to the "Domains" tab and select the domain for which you want to manage the .htaccess file.

     
  3. In the domain's dashboard, find the "File Manager" option.

     
  4. Inside the File Manager, locate the root directory of your website. The .htaccess file is usually found in the root directory.

     

Editing the .htaccess File

  1. Select the .htaccess file and click on the "Edit in Text Editor" option.

     
  2. Make the necessary modifications to the file using the text editor. Be cautious, as incorrect changes may lead to errors on your website.

  3. Save the changes by clicking the "OK" button.

     
  4. Confirm the changes by clicking "OK" in the confirmation dialog.

Creating a New .htaccess File

  1. If you don't have an existing .htaccess file, you can create a new one by going to the root directory of your website in the File Manager.

  2. Click on the "Create File" button.

     
  3. Name the file ".htaccess" and click "Create."

     
  4. Select the newly created .htaccess file and click on the "Edit in Text Editor" option.

  5. Add your desired configurations to the file and save the changes.

  6. Confirm the changes by clicking "OK" in the confirmation dialog.
